Driving Lessons Across Telford

Mark is based in Telford and teaches across the town and the villages around it. Lessons start from your home, college or work, and the practical test is usually taken at Telford Test Centre at Horton Wood, so you will get to know the roads used on test wherever you live. Lessons cost £40.50-£43 per hour, and the price is the same in every area.

Wellington

Wellington is a busy market town on the west side of Telford, with the Wrekin on its doorstep and the M54 close by. Lessons here mix town-centre driving around the station and High Street, with its mini roundabouts and crossings, with faster roads out towards the A5 and the approach to M54 junction 7.

Oakengates

Oakengates sits right in the middle of Telford, which makes it an easy base for lessons in every direction. You start on the residential streets around the town centre and Wrockwardine Wood, then build up to the big roundabouts on the A442 Queensway and the A5 that feature on local test routes.

Dawley

Dawley is a well-established part of south Telford with a mix of older terraced streets, newer estates and the main road into the town centre. Quiet roads make it a good place to practise parking and manoeuvres, with the roundabouts around Southwater and the town centre a few minutes away.

Madeley

Madeley is in the south of Telford, between the town centre and the Ironbridge Gorge. Lessons cover the High Street and estates, the Madeley roundabouts on the A442 and A4169, and hill starts on the roads down to Ironbridge and Coalport.

Priorslee

Priorslee is on the east side of Telford, close to the M54 at junction 4. Its modern estates have wide, quiet roads that are ideal for first lessons, and the Priorslee and Castle Farm roundabouts, the A5 and the motorway slip roads are only minutes away when you are ready for them.

Lawley

Lawley is one of Telford's newest neighbourhoods, between Dawley and Wellington. The quiet streets around Lawley Village are a relaxed place to start, and the A5223 and the dual carriageways towards Wellington and the M54 give you faster driving close to home.

Ironbridge

Ironbridge and the Gorge are a demanding but rewarding place to learn. Steep hills, narrow roads, the bridge itself and busy summer traffic teach clutch control and awareness that serve you well anywhere, with the open roads through Buildwas and towards Much Wenlock for a change of pace.

Shifnal

Shifnal is a historic market town just east of Telford. Lessons mix narrow streets and on-street parking in the town with country roads to the surrounding villages, and the A464 and M54 junction 4 for dual carriageway driving into Telford.

Newport

Newport is a market town north of Telford on the A41. Its broad High Street, residential roads and the country lanes around Edgmond and Lilleshall give a good mix of conditions, with the A41 bypass roundabouts and the A518 to Telford for building confidence at speed.
